    Hi all
Just thought id share, maplins are doing the xbox one console brand new for £350 at the moment to put it in line with the ps4 price.
do you think other shops will follow suit with the prices also?

Wow, the price just keeps dropping. I wonder if MS have an absolute price which retailers can't go below?

Good move by Maplin, with the Titanfall and Fifa 14 bundles being priced the same as the non-bundled console they needed to get rid of stock before MS releases a real price drop or a cheaper Kinectless model.

Still more expensive than in the US. I wonder why the UK gets such bad prices on electronics. I noticed this before with computer monitors.

Because of tax's that's why we always pay more than the US, I think American tax's are between 8 and 10% UK is 20%, that's one reason I don't sell on eBay anymore after postage + packing, paypal fees ebay fees and 20% im usually left out of pocket on items that sell for under £5

US prices don't include tax, like my XB1 was about $550 after tax (MSRP in the US is $499), UK prices do include tax, which in the US, depending on the state, is about 10%

I'll still be waiting till it comes down to less than £300 I think. Not in any great rush unless something absolutely amazing comes out anythime soon.

Idk. I don't really trust MS with regards to anything. Even if it had a massive price drop, I can't justify supporting the XBone. I never know when they might implement stupid policies. Absolutely adored the Original XB, loved the 360, but I can't find that love for the XBone.

Xbone has been on sale for $450 at Walmart and Best Buy for the past couple of days and they still haven't sold out. Even the Titanfall Bundle is $450.

TF Bundle here too is the same price as the standard version. $600 is still expensive for me.

Also, the fact that (I think) Microsoft is still forcing the new Kinect with every console, which still jacks up the price ~$100, is kinda gross.

But yeah, also still kinda concerned with how easy it'd be for Microsoft to undo their reversal of their early planned policies (considering, IIRC, it was essentially still in the systems at launch but were "removed" with a day-one patch*).

...Yet somehow $250/300 for a WiiU is "too expensive" for some people.

*feel free to correct me on any of this, peeps.

    Talk about taxes, eh?
In Brazil, taxes are almost 50% for video games, but the good part that Microsoft is starting to produce the Xbox by here.

Oh I've heard the horror stories, I was just pointing out that the price on the shelf in the US isn't the price you pay, unless you are in a state with no sales tax.

    America is kinda confusing sometimes.
