Xbox One Gen 2 / S Trigger Magnet Assembly

I've posted a WTB for some S triggers but I'm wondering if anybody has ever got a working Gen 1 set of Trigger Assemblies to work with a Gen2 / 3 controller?

When you use the Gen 1 controller LT / RT Trigger magnets and replace the rumble motor it causes some issues like sticking and interference on the trigger. I don't have one with me at the minute so can't check. But is the polarity reversed on the magnets? Or is it a simple case of misalignment to the Hall sensor? Be a shame to bin a Gen 2 white just because I can't get replacement parts.
