Hello, my original Xbox boots up to a black screen most every time, but there is still sound. If I unplug the AV cables from the back of the Xbox and plug them back in, it is fixed. Is there anyway to fix this so I don't have to do this any time I want to play Xbox?

Is the AV Connector on the console and/or cable dirty? Also, have you tried a different cable?

Sorry for late reply, Wi-Fi went down for a few days and I'm too lazy to use library computers. Anyway, I've cleaned the cable very thoroughly and tried other cables and get the same issue.

Check the system for bad caps and bad traces. I don't know if that would cause it but you never know.
