Xbox Soft mod issues

I will try and build one today.

Do you know if there is an app, that you can use to rebuild an xbox hdd on a PC, if you have the EEPROM and C drive files.
Something similar to xboxhd, but that can be done in Windows?

I have rebuilt the C partition and installed the mod again. Now all works great.
The part where you connect the hdd IDE cable just as Microsoft log comes up worked for me.

I have also built a eeprom reader, and successfully downloaded eeprom from another machine, which needs a new hdd.

Without making a new thread, I have this issue with the xbox, where I get image on TV when I use component cable, but when I change it over to composite, only sound is there, no picture?

Any idea what this could be, and is there a way to reset display settings?

I tried to blind navigate to the display options, and change settings, but no luck.

backing up the eeprom is a must if you softmod it.. I don't softmod much anymore. I just TSOP flash them.
If you have one that can TSOP flash. I would do that.. Then you don't need the eeprom. and you don't even need to lock the hard drives either. its the best thing I ever learned how to do.
