ok I'm bit biased but isn't Tekki/Steel Battalion great! Sure the enemy AI sucks but the thrill of controlling every minute details of your mecha using numerous buttons and what not is so cool... Apparently Line of Contact is even better since you are against human opponent and each battle is about 50 days long... glad all the trouble I went through to get my Tekki copy. had to bring one by myself in recent trip to Japan - too expensive to send via EMS. guess the look on our custom officer when I put this huge green carton on his table... Being joystick basically it's tax free - not realising there's copy of Tekki inside the carton which apparently attract the import duty... I paid around 5800(?) yen for a used one... he he Now all I need is a small room fitted with 5.1 speakers and 2nd plasma screen... Playing this thing on lounge isn't fun since you need the controller sits on the desk hight not the coffee table height... But then i can't move our big screen to my den... I have small CRT TV there for other consoles... oh well... cheers cheers
I wonder if that big ass thing is worth getting before I move... it'd be easier to ship it w/ all my crap rather than EMS, boat by itself, or lugging it on a plane. I'd be too embarrased to open it. I gotta ask myself though... do I need to be playing a game that detailed?
SB seems a very cool detailed game. But for all that expense of the huge joystick, it's only compatable with the 2 SB/Tekki games. Now if they'd released a Gundam game, or a Macross game (piloting a Valkrie fighter) there'd be more of a reason to get the set up.
. yea if they release Gundam title compatible with tekki controller i will be the first in line... cheers
