XBox TSOP flash and other info

I've always liked the idea of splitting the 1mb TSOP but if you take a look at this thread which also links to a writeup on Eurasia it doesnt seem an adviseable thing to do anymore...

With regards to dashboards I'm a massive XMBC fan but I also like UnleashX and editing the config to have a custom menu (that being said I know you can do this in evolutionX as well)

 

Well, went ahead and went at my second v1.0 board with the soldering iron.

The tsop points bridged no problem. Got it soft modded, and tsop flashed, and now playing around with it.

Hopefully before too long I can get a 2tb hdd in it, and a few other things I have been wanting to do to it done.

For now I am going to be playing around with what the system has to offer, but I am sure I will have more questions down the road.

Got the x2_5035 bios installed, and think I will stick with xbmc dash for now. Tried a few others but think I like this the most. Need to play with it more though I think

You have to clean up the solder points, either with some MEK, Acetone or even better a fibreglass pen to clean off any varnish or contaminants.
