XBOX360 Halo3 DVD drive

Anyone know the make(s) of the DVD drives in the new Halo3 XBOX360s?

Can't find anything on the web about it yet.....

Even XBOX360 drive database doesn't have it in it's drop down...

 

The drive in the Halo 360's are BenQ drives.

 

I keep hearing that the Halo 360 is the flagship for the Falcon chipset. This true?

I was about to call you a lier but ill give you that since i just bothered to look out my window... lol

 

I keep hearing that's not true and no 360s have the Falcon yet. I'm sure we'll all hear a big buzz about it when the Falcon chipsets actually are available. I imagine people will be running to get their old consoles replaced then. I'd certainly want the 65nm chips since it should reduce heat and power use by alot. As it is now the 360 is like a space heater.

 

No, it is the bog-standard chipset with a better heatsink apparently.

 

The motherboards in the Halo 360's are the same in the 360 Elite.

 

Now even the core units have the new motherboard & sink, but honestly what MS did is like fixing a nuclear reactor with an A/C unit...

Theres not even pictures of units with the Falcon chips (or photos of the chip themselves) and back during the E3 most news outlets let it clear that the Halo edition would have the same old chip from the Elite and Premium.
