In my searches, i've came to the conclusion that: single core AMD Sempron PC's seem to be the most recommended (PATA of course). Sempron 2500 was mentioned elsewhere, but i'm sure a Semron 2300, 2400 etc. would work as well? I've been scouring google for desktops that contain these specific Sempron processors, but all the results lead to info on the processor chips themselves, not any specific models which contain them (i.e. Compaq Presario model # XPYQ).

Can anyone recommend me an old PC that is known to work with XboxHDM? What model desktop are you using to build your hard drives? I'm not looking to TSOP or solder or anything like that. I figure one of those old desktops should only cost around $50.

If you softmod and TSOP, you won't need XBOXHDM. Just so you know.

However, really any IDE master board will be fine. I run XBOXHDM fine on an Intel P3 and Intel P4.

It's just known/rumoured people have more success on an AMD processor but Intel works just as well, only issue you will have with it is freezing the drive upon boot. This can be bypassed by plugging in the IDE when XBOXHDM is at the main menu.

    Hope that helps you out.
