I bought a used XCM XFPS 360 on a flea market. It's one of these adapters where you can connect mouse, keyboard or a PlayStation2 controller to your Xbox 360. This is a picture and a link to the product page: http://www.xcm.cc/xcm_xfps_360.htm Unfortunately it doesn't work on my system. I've plugged keyboard and mouse to the appropriate ports, then connected a wired Xbox 360 controller and finally connected the XFPS to my Xbox 360. The 4 green lights on the Xbox 360 wired controller are blinking forever. The lights on the XFPS stay off. Neither mouse, keyboard nor the Xbox controller do work. I also tried to setup the XFPS with a PlayStation2 gamepad - same problem. The XFPS seems to get power, because my mouse does light up. Does anyone know how to solve that problem?
As you have read the manual and it doesn't work then it is probably buggered to kingdom come so your options are probably to buy a new one that works...
Microsoft dont block pads/controllers? Maybe you are confused and thinking of one of the recent Sony/PS3 changes?
I have no idea, that's why I ask. A reason for blocking the XFPS could be the advantage over a gamepad when playing with keyboard and mouse.
The XFPS definitively blocked in later dashboard revisions. Several other people experienced the same problem after an Xbox Live update: http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...ussion-and-help/364-xfps-sniper-pro-plus.html It probably still works with a 3rd party Xbox 360 wired gamepad. However the post above is 2 years old. I will look out for a alternative solution.
