One of the latest. I don't need a special one.

I assume you need this to fix a debug/dev? not for collection?

EDIT: or turn a retail into a debug, i suppose...

I'm sure you know the side-effects of doing the complete recovery process on a retail...

Joe, search the net, you're bound to find the recovery disc. It's included with most of the scene releases of the XDK.

It works quite peachy, so long as you pre-flash the BIOS and don't let the recovery disc do it.

Thanks a lot atomiX. I have found a couple of images in the net.
Can you please tell me what are the side-effects that you are talking ?

Here's how to convert a retail to debug, i think this details the dangers pretty well:

Basicly, don't mod your xbox (especally with a tsop flash and leave the jumper) and leave a retail bios on it. If you pop in the refresh disc, it'll overwrite your hard drive, then flash your board with a bios that doesn't support it. I would think you could recove with a 29 wire modchip, but to be honest, i've never had to try.

Yeah, best not to try ;)

Joe, all you need to do is flash a debug bios to your box (make sure you know what you're doing) and when that is done, pop in the recovery disc and let it do its magic. When you get to the step when the disc wants to flash the ROM (TSOP), take out the disc and power down. DO NOT LET THE DISC FLASH YOUR BOX or you'll have a problem on your hands...

    Thanks a lot again.
    I think I'll try it.

People, keep watching this forum because perhaps I'll put a cheap fried XBOX for sale in a few days ;)
