Hi there! So my friend and I are wanting to System Link with LiNK to play some ODST. I get FSD3 running and can't access the network tab. I goto the settings and find out that the FDplugin can't be loaded, even though its in the directory where it should be. I've heard that Devkits don't support plugins, but I'm not entirely sure. Is there any way to fix this or should I just use something else, like Xlink? Thanks
Yea the ping patch plugin wont work on XDKs for a couple reasons least of whitch is that XDKs don't have a ping limit. Your main problem tho is that XDKs can not find retail consoles without a little xex that patches it till reboot. http://www.mediafire.com/download/oo6w2zvetr2evfd/DevLink+v1.0.rar EDIT: Could have sworn FSD3 and Aurora patch it automatically tho since I have used LiNK without running the devlink xex EDIT2: The Re Editing: Oh FSD didn't load its main plugin thngie for you! Yea no idea cause its worked fine for me :\ And that no plugins thing has to do with the XDKs not having DashLaunch so those plugins don't work.
Does your friend have a RGH? Or a console other than a XDK? if so: Run Devlink before playing with you friend on systemlink. https://mega.nz/#!nsRxRQYL!iwTtJkGvDpomduZQL8GEqtBBUxo_v177SPjiuBWXV30 I would use a tunneling service such as Xbslink
Nah, we're both using Devs. Anyways, I'm trying to setup XBSLink and its really beginning to annoy me now. I've got both my XDK and PC connected to my router via Ethernet. I've installed XBSLink and WinPcap. I've also portforwarded port 31415 and I cannot for the life of me figure out why it keeps telling me the port is closed. I've selected the correct network adaptor and I can find other people's game, but I can't find them on my Kit (even with Devlink) and they can't find me. Any help is much appreciated.
I've had an issue before when I've played a certain game and it would not find retail kits whatsoever. Tried other games on the same boot (didn't kill devlink) and it worked just fine. I would love to know a fix for this :/ like its a permanent issue, not just sometimes
Yeah, it sounds similar to my problem. We've tried playing retail Halo 3 and Epsilon 11729, both using the same .xex's. We're on different recoveries if that really makes a difference, but I think its something to do with XBSLink not seeing the port as being open. I've even disabled extra UPnP security and put my local IP into DMZ and no difference. Its a real shame, because if I had the time to I would've fixed my RGH and done it all through LiNK
I have system linked all the 360 Halo games so I know they work fine on devkits on an actual local network, Have also played Halo 4 co-op via xlink kai with a friend on a retail system so IDK you could try that.
