    Ok I have three questions....

    1. Does anyone know how I can find out what the nand size is of a prototype Xedk?

    2. I always thought that xenons only use type 1 kv's but it seems my xenon XDk using a type 2 kv...I guess it's different for devkit than it is for retails.

    3. Isn't a manufacture date of 2008 a bit late for a xenon xdk?

Kv may be modded or via a update.
I am unsure just a thought.

I think the KV has been swapped by the previous user... Any idea on that xedk nand size? The Xedk is running dash 2.0.1838. Oh and it has one of those titan boards.

some xenons were refurbed in 2008 and reissued to devs, and kv type is kinda a random thing but most consoles past 2005-6 are type 2(the only difference is that the type 2 has some more hashes and more certs ('off memory dont quote me for it')). nandsize pretty much all devs apart from some jasper and trinity are 64mb

take some pictures of the unit it may be a beta 2 which is not much different from a final console

Give us the make and part number of the nand/bios chip.
And we could find out or you could google the data sheet.

they are 64MB, 66MB includes all the spare blocks for bad block remapping.

NAND is designed to allow for bad blocks from the factory, so they come with some reserve space to map around them.

Btw "keyvault type2" is a miss statement (as per xbox360 flash tool)

There's actually three types of keyvaults (on retails):

Keyvaults with no OSIG (this is what flashtool calls "type 1")
Keyvaults with OSIG but no CPU KEY binding hash (This is what flashtool calls "type 2"

Keyvaults with OSIG and CPU KEY binding hash (This is indentified as "type 2" too by flashtool)

So you see, this is pretty misleading.

Also I don't think XDKs have CPU KEY binding on the keyvault.

The purpose of CPU KEY binding is obviously prevent tampering of the KEYVAULT contents and keep you from moving it to another console.

Edit; found the data sheet it is indeed a 64mb nand. Can anyone identify from my pics if I have a xedk beta 1 or beta 2 kit?

From the looks for the picture its a beta 1 kit. but it does seem very odd that it has a 2008 kv i guess someone flashed the wrong flash to it

No dudes, this was about my proto dev and my final devkit. Just kinda needed to know the nand size for my xedk and the pics of that nand dump was for my final devkit. Just didn't want to make two topics when I could merge them into one topic.
