    Are these version 1 or version 2? The LED will be red and green on the version 1 and red and yellow on the version 2. Also if you hold the start button during boot up the version 2 will show a shell.

    The whole version 1 or version 2 thing is completely pointless.

    First, the V2 only major difference is a boot menu - which only works in PAL anyway and can be done with homebrew that works on all chips.

    Also, you can flash a v1 into a v2 or vice versa.

    What he said. The only reason to care is maybe if you absolutely want a specific LED color.

    FWIW, I got one from an earlier batch ASSEMbler sold, and it's a V2.

    I know that the version 1 vs. version 2 is pointless but I have people that have bought a system from me and they haunt me on this question and I try to tell them that it really does not matter but to them it does. Trust me had a guy wanting to return the system because he swore it was a version 1 and the start with the shell saved me. So I rather not go thru that again!
