I bought a 2nd gamecube to install the Xeno chip i bought from Assembler HERE and it works great. I had to use wires though because the points on the chip didnt match up with the points on the board correctly. but that wasnt a problem. i relocated the chip next to the fan so i could see the glow from the led out the side of the cube. Im using some mini dvd-r's made by samsung and they seem to do the trick. one weird thing though, i read that if you hold start it is supposed to go to a "XenoShell" but mine just goes to a blank screen. Its already doing everything i wanted it to do anyway so this is not a problem. who else is running with these?
That would be why. Thank you. Btw. Is there a website with info about these? All the ones im finding are only slightly informative.
Not really that I know of, but thanks for reminding me to make a page about it on my GC website ( http://gc-forever.com ). I'll update this page with more once I've done it.
I love your forum. i'll be making an account soon. one other question. Why did ProgScan mode go away after i installed my Xeno? I mean. i have 2 cubes and dont mind that it doesnt play games in progscan on the moded one but wtf?
that's interesting.. what about when you hold down the B button on boot? I really have to setup my component cable + GC to test things out
well, on my unmodded GC i dont have to hold down anything. It automatically asks me if i want it to display in progscan.
