Okay guys so I put a XenoGC in my cube a few months ago. And it worked fine with ritada ritek disks burning ISOs with imgburn. So after a while the burnt disks quit working (spin then stop) and only originals worked. So with a multimeter I adjusted it to first 200 then anywhere from 150-250 and i noticed it didn't ever work how ever toward the lower resistances it'd spin longer and longer. I tried setting it all the way down and it got so close to working but I can't go lower than like 20 without it jumping to 990. Help. Please. I have tried a new computer and new burn, no bueno.
If nothing works soon, I'll order a new laser.

The laser has to work harder to read burned discs. It's possible it simply burned out. Did you adjust the laser after you installed the Xeno or later when it stopped reading discs?

Try cleaning the laser, too. I doubt it would fix it but you never know. I personally use cotton swab/Q-tip + rubbing alcohol.

Sounds like if it just stopped working you'll probably need a new laser. I remember I had to mess with mine for a while before I got it working reliably. Small adjustment, test, small adjustment test... If you can't get it working get a new laser.

Thank you, so even if it can read originals it could be unable to strain itsel to read burned disks? I figure a new laser will do the trick!

Yeah it was a major pain. I ordered a new laser, only like $7.50. No big deal.
