Thanks and do you think this demo kit can take a sidecar since it has all the headers???

If it has all the headers, don't see why not. :)

Also was this the one on eBay that was pictured on like a red surface?

oh without a doubt! the only thing demo's dont have is debugging, besides that its all the same as full XDK :)

EDIT: actually ... maybe it does? 0.o

If you manually add on the ports for a sidecar can a demo/stress kit use the sidecar?

btw scar maybe it just has a demo kit case, maybe it isn't a demo kit at all? I have never owned an demo kit, but won't it specify that in the launcher vs. xbox dev as shown in the pic?

I think the efuses are different, thus not allowing the use of a sidecar even if you manually added the ports.

But how I do I determine if it's not a demo kit?

Does it always say Xbox 360 Development Kit in the launcher?

Either that, or test kit. It doesn't state whether its a stress / demo etc.

What does it state if it is a stress or demo?

Phat stress kits were development kits, slim stress kits were test kits. Demo kits are development kits. Its test kits that are sent out to developers for like QA.

So I checked the serial number in dash system info and it matches the one on to the case so there for the case was not switched out.

The stress, reviewer and demo kits always have standard retail appearing back decals with an added small square decal on reviewer and demo kits. Stress kits do not have anything revealing on the outside beside the stress cables coming out the top. Development kits and Test kits both will say "XDK" on the label itself. Test kits traditionally are in white while dev kits are in a dark grey.
