hey guys a few might have read my post about acquiring a few xenn dev kits. Well heres an update. Managed to get a few updated to newer dash/flash and they run smooth. I swapped one and have kept the other but now have a couple of full units that have issues. One just boots to Microsoft logo then get an error code and the 1 red ring. The othere is the one that's got me stumped. Its on an older dash than my previous (flash 2241.0 XDK 2417.0) Anyway I decided I would update this as well with the view to moving it on but when I start the process it reboots like its going to do the update but then gives an onscreen message as follows: This xbox 360 development kit has hardware that is no longer supported. Please contact your Microsoft account manager. Recovery will end shortly. Anyone got any ideas, or is it just a kit for collectors now?
I was going to say it was either a beta kit or a corrupted update. The chinese had alot of beta kits lying around and they figured out how to update them. Use google translator and goto this website bbs.a9vg.com and look around the xbox part, I have seen the hacked recoveries on there, and really no where else.
I've patched beta kits up through 21xxx before, I'll have to look around and see if I still have my notes on patching the executables. You need an ISO recovery to do it though. -Doom

The problems I was able to figure with a translator was that stuff like controllers would stop syncing and have problems with other accessories using the hacked recoveries
