Xenon Mac G5 Alpha Kit & 2 XDK S Units with Sidecars

Looking to sell my Xenon Alpha (Mac G5) Kit. AFAIK, this has been the only ever unit that has come up for sale. Its a real beauty, as I'm sure all of you are aware and will be a major key to any serious collector's collection. It doesn't have the Xenon OS image on it, but is still all stock and is just waiting for an image to be loaded and it will be good to go. It's not a frankenalpha, it is a real Alpha unit and presumably was used to develop Kameo, due to the label on the top. Case has a few scuffs, but doesn't take away from the beauty, and the kit is coming on to be 13 years old, so isn't unexpected. Please ask if you need any more information.

Next up is 2 final S XDKs with sidecars. Again cases have a few light scratches but nothing major, they work perfectly. Both come with 250GB, which have 3 different builds of Fast and Furious: Showdown (which is the movie Fast and Furious 6). One build has a debug menu, but that is as far as I've gone, the others may do, nor do I know how early these builds are.

Dam those kits look nice not bad, let just hope the alpha kit it doesn't got to some who will tern it in to a PC like that guy on Reddit

 

Typical "internet" story being retold, the reddit kit is fine, his father got it with Windows 2000 installed, the HDD was formatted before this guy got his hands on it as most were when they left MS. He has all the parts as well, it's a simple ATX case with parts removed from it. The same kit was posted to /r/xbox 3 years ago and no one said boo, now everyone cries murder even though no harm was done.

All the G5 kits went through what the reddit kids' did, they all had MAC OSX 10.5 installed on them. I think 10.5.8 is the latest OSX that can be used. I see this one is a MID/LATE 2004 model as well, 10.2.7 cannot be installed to install old open firmware and hence won't allow 1029 to boot, If you find XenonOS it will need to be a later build than 1029.

Is the price correct?

 

It wasn't destroyed at all. Everyone in that thread was being a usual reddit cunt and had no idea what they were talking about. His replies were drowned out by "OMGEEE U DESTROID KITT!??!!!11/1/?!///!??!/1//?!".

Whether the parts are fine or not.

Regardless, I just want to see this kit not be gutted.

 

I sorta wanted to buy it and empty it, run a gold chain through the top handle and wear it from my neck like Flava Flav.

just curious does the xenon G5 differ from a stock G5?

 

In terms of practicality, currently, no. But this G5 was used to develop a game (Kameo to be exact for this unit) early on while the Xbox 360 was in alpha stage, and was code named Xenon, which this unit is, a 'Xenon Development Kit', as written on the label on the top. Its missing the data from the hard drive to function as a working development kit, but with the right software, it would be fully functional again.

 

I would be interested but really only in trade....

 

Is there any hope to find the right software?
