So I had an x3CP laying around I got my hands on an x3ce from a member here in the forums l get everything connected and hooked up and the lcd screen does not appear to be any good. I'm currently scoring the Internet for a blue back lit HD44780 lcd that will fit in the small location in the X3CP does anyone have any suggestions? Everything I can turn up the pcb on the lcd is to large to fit in and it's rather annoying...... I did find this site: http://www.lcd-module.com/produkte/dotmatrix/tabellen.html#c2406 But I don't know the exact dimensions of the original lcd at least in millimeters.....ideas would be absolutely great on where to find a decent replacement
I was thinking someone around here must ha e replaced one of these already with a particular lcd and has a better idea what to replace it with already. I was thinking one of these: https://www.crystalfontz.com/product/cfah2004ltmijt-character-display-20x4 Or maybe trimming the pcab on this one to fit: https://www.crystalfontz.com/product/cfah2004ktmijp-lcd-character-module-20x4 Not to certain how great of an idea the second one is and I would imagine most if not all 20x4 lcd screens are the same dimension for the screen and frame it's self.....it's the pcb dimensions that are the hard part toat home in this case
Yes it's enabled it showed up garbled with missing lines so I tightened the tabs on the back that I have read needs adjusting sometimes to solve the garbled lettering and I got almost everything to show up accept like 2 row of pixels on the very top of the lcd and w rows of black pixels on the left side of the screen.
