For people that don't know xmd is a small box that turns your bad genesis/md av image to s-video (and other connections) without any internal mod

    I have both, xmd-2 and 3, working fine on genesis/md 1 and genesis/md 2 even with 32x

My problem is xmd-2 + mark III. The av input of genesis/md1 is the same of mark III so I'm trying to use xmd-2 on mark III, the result is a s-video image with nice colours but too dark, if I increase the contrast of tv then image turns too gray and still dark

Anyone have this problem? This is a problem with my mark III (works fine with AV cable)?

    Thanks for the help

If you feel that my post is better on CPR forum, plz move, but I'm not sure if this is a really problem to fix or this is just a system limitation

I think more xmd it is a small box that turns your very good genesis/md RGB image to s-video (and other connections) without any internal mod :!:

90% of people uses xmd like me, to covert av to s-video, so 90% think like me, think more and you will agree

If you think even more you will see that my thread is not a discussion of how people uses xmd, it's just one hard question

The mark III has weaker RGB signals then the Megadrive and Master System do. You have three options, one is to get an RGB TV and forgot s-video, one is to modify the XMD2 so that the RGB levels are not clamped so much and the third is to do an internal mod. :-0
