Hello, I've recently acquired all of the items that are required for the Xbox softmod. After successfully formatting my memory stick pro duo 4gb (psp) through the xbox, I tried to copy the save exploits to the card via Xplorer360. Xplorer360 detects the fatx formatted card, but when I attempt to copy the files, the program freezes and stops responding. Even if I attempt to create a new folder through Xplorer360, the program always stops responding. I have tried multiple versions of the program but none appear to work without crashing. I'm wondering if my card is incompatible with the program, but I have read that others have successfully installed softmods with psp memory sticks. Before I buy another usb stick or memory card I would like to know if there is a way to fix the freezing/crashing in Windows XP and if there is an alternative to Xplorer360 which can be used to copy files to a fatx formatted device. Thank you.
You can try this. Go here http://www.mrdictionary.net/_xbox/guide_php.php#necessary_software_1 Xbox Action Replay should help.
Thank you so much for the guide. It was very helpful. I got one of my usb sticks to work with the Action Replay software. Unfortunately the only stick of mine that was recognized by Action Replay was incompatible with the Xbox. I can confirm that a Memory Stick Pro Duo 4gb (psp) does not work. After I aquire a compatible usb memory stick, I'll do an update post to let everyone know how it went. If anyone has a compatible usb stick with the save exploits and softmod files preloaded, please send me a PM with a quote and I'll make you an offer. I'll be making a WTB thread shortly and I will edit this post when it's made. Once again, thank you very much for your help.
