The file type relates to the sound effects used in game titles.

How do you play these files?

    - Is there an app in the SDK which can play this file type?
    - Is it a container type like file extension? If so, which app will extract/add its data?

    Update:
I have tried the MS Cross plat.... app, but I can't import the wxbs. It only allows to import wxps.

Currently there isn't any tool, either within the SDK or created by a homebrewer, that will extract xbox 360 XWB files.

As to homebrew, ............ I managed to extract them with an application called unxwb.exe.

They are apperently ADP format files with the extension .wav.
Sofar, I haven't found a player which can actually play them. Nor an app, which can inject them back into the xwb file.

In Xbox 1 sounds were in Xbox ACPDM Codec encrypted .wav files..
