Pachislot actually. I wasn't aware Hori made that kind of controllers, but since it's a "PRO"-model, I guess it must be high quality like their PRO-series arcade sticks. Looks like a nice piece of hardware, at least in terms of Pachislot. ^_^

Pachinko is a bit like pinball but with loads of balls and gambling thrown in. Big in Japan. "Virtual" pachinko has been around for decades, there are plenty of SNES pachinko games. Hence the controllers for those games, for many platforms. No surprise they never made it to the West.

You and me both mate. I threw in a SFC pachinko game once when I was buying from Play-Asia or Lik-Sang... can't remember, but it was a couple of quid and new old stock. Bunch of balls go up, then trickle down and get you points. I hope it's more exciting when you win things as it bored the crap out of me within minutes.

Everything you could ever want to know about pachinko: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pachinko

Pachinko is a lot like the game you can play on the streets of Hong Kong in Shenmue II. You throw in a ball on top of a field and hope that it'll hit a certain area or hole on the board.

    Pachislo(t) is more like a one-armed bandit.

Ahh, so that's what it is, still incredibly stupid game IMHO. Just as stupid as some of the new prize games by sega that's starting to come here in Denmark. Amongst others there's a shooting game, which in itself is a walk in the park, but to make it a viable business sega has built in the possibility to adjust how unprecise the shots fired should be. Never have I felt as stupid, as when I fed that sucker with coins:DOH:

In my opinion games and gambling should be kept apart, but it's of course a nice compromise, when gambling is prohibited, as in Japan.

I'm embarrassed to say, but I've never completed the first Shenmue, and therefor haven't played the sequel:redface:

But after reading the wiki, I now know what it is and conclude, that I haven't really been missing out;-)

It's just a cardboard slipcase with a regular orange Dreamcast box inside. I'm not sure if the game is included, but it's not a coloured Dreamcast or anything like that, just the white standard model.

That box was apprently sold at Sofmap in Akihabara as far as I can understand the description. They often sold exclusive bundles, Megami Tengoku II PC-FX gentei bundle comes to my mind.

Ahh okay, thanks for the info.

Just like the slipcase on my PS3 box, sold in Denmark just before the end of 60gb stock, features covers of Motorstorm and RFOM.
Inside the regular 60gb box with a broken seal and the games threw in plus an additional sixaxis in bubblewrap.
