Yahoo Japan Auctions pissed me off !! THere I was bidding on Street Fighter III for the DC when I was out bid. no worries I'll just bid more, so I did. I was winning again but then out big again. So I put in a bid for 1000 yen. There, I was back on top. Then it says I'm out bid again but the top bid is only 510 yen !! So I try to bid 1500 yen but it won't accept my bid with 2 minutes left to go. So I lost the auction to someone whos winning bid was less than my previous bid :smt014 That really pissed me off. Now if you look at the bidding listings you can see that I placed a bid for 660 yen which was more than the final winning price plus my 1000 yen bid doesn't even show up !! What the fuck happened ??? not only that sometimes you got blocked for placing the bid for no reason... she told me when she was bidding for an auction from the seller she never dealt before but for some reason her bid was refused... ??? needless to say I didn't get that Cotton 2 o'cha cup...
who is it that knocks back the bids? Is it the actual seller? If so then that's a bloody disgrace. Yakumo
Yeah, some things are a little weird on Yahoo. Of course the main thing is that the seller can place bidder restrictions on the auction, such as bidders with low or negative feedback ratings. As for other criteria, it's a mystery. Perhaps there are other rules about bidding too often within 5 minutes or sth (to detect autobidding software -- if that exists). I once had an auction that allowed bidding in only 10 yen increments... what a bloody waste of time.
Maybe it was the seller who dint want you to win the auction. To be fair its nice to have that option as sometimes you might not want someone to bid.

If it was Double Impact you should be pissed! If it was 3rd Strike, don't sweat it ;-) That sucks that YJ cheated you out of the game though.

most people on yahoo japan only ship within japan. To get items off of Yahoo JP you need to either use a serice like celga (www.celga.com) who charge a reasonably large markup, or suck up to a japanese friend, and get them to bid on things for you - don't forget however that they would need to get things sent to them and then forwarded to you, so don't expect em to do it for free! Also I really need to sort myself out an account for YJ so that I can view old auctions....just can never be bothered to try to work out what to do to sign up since I know absolutely no japanese.
Tell me about it mate. I knew that they cancelled my bid and stopped me bidding more. Some dodgy racist crap going on between the seller and other guy I was bidding against. Most Yahoo sellers are cool but there are one or two that can be right twats once they find out you're not Japanese. Still, won that load of goodies including the beta cartridges and about 6 other DC games so I'm still happy Yakumo
I've not had that before. If you were blacklisted, I think you'd get a notification about it. You can always put in a cheek bid on another over the sellers auctions. Oh, well -- not like it was something super rare.
