Yakumo revealed to be insane Scotsman!

  1. InsertCredit.com, paragon of ridiculously pretentious and long-winded reporting and occasional tidbits of actual news, has this to say about the latest RetroCore release:

'The crazy scottish guy responsible for the saturn shooting special has another retrocore episode up for viewing at the internet archive. Also see 9 and 10. Big downloads, but might include some games you've never seen before.'

    And there you have it!

    Must be a new thing.

Yeah, saw that myself. Believe it or not I've had a few mails from people asking if I know the Consolevania crew who are really from Scotland ! Yeah, I know I don't have a true Scouce (Liverpool) accent anymore but do I really sound Scottish :p?

Yeah, I did suspect you were from Liverpool. Same intonation as Ringo. :)

Insert Credit actually posts some pretty good stuff. Recap is very good about staying on top of the Japanese tidbits anyway... more so than me. :)

  7. Yeah, their news tidbits are pretty good, and it's indeed where I go to find news of the obscure gaming world, but I just can't stand some of their reviewers and the pretentious, longwinded and irrelevant articles they write.
They often seem like an attempt at Thompson's Gonzo journalism that has rotted and fermented along the way.

  11. Not the good, 'this will give us booze later!' sort of way. Read any of the reviews/articles by Tim Rogers or Eric-Jon *name I can't remember* and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Though to be fair, as GP said, Recap is a pretty good source of news, as is former/partially current ASSEMbler member Chazumaru.

As long as they stick to news, Insert Credit rocks.

Yakumo: i am from bloody Copenhagen and not the city i am living in. And i lived in Vesterbro when it was a tough neighborhood and second i lived with my family in a workers flat and not the conqubine apartments in Westend (pronounced vestend in my copenhagen dialect) .(Vesterbro is an area in Copenhagen) and some dumb fuckers calls it Vesterbronx, but fuck those fuckers. (don´t worry)why i said that was because sir :) your accent/dialect has changed to a more "singing" one :) (that is the thing we call it in danish when a dialect has some "singing" in it) but i LIKE your english very much :)

i envy you a bit since my english dialect is a bit of mixmash thing. :)

    Peace Yakumo :)
