Apparently Yakuza 5 is drastically changed into a zombie game: http://the-magicbox.com/1009/game100914b.shtml :-(
Big yakuza fan here and I was just shocked when I read about this. This series has some of the best stories in gaming and now they are going in this zombie route. Its heartbreaking, I don't know how to react. All they had to do was bring in a new character (or the sky finance lender from yakuza 4 he was awesome), have it take place in a new city, and instant great game. Bringing back Kiryu, ok thats expected, but throwing out the realisim is just maddening.
Wow... That's unexpected to say the least but I do find myself interested. It could be pretty cool as long as Sega makes it a kind of side story and not canon to the series.
I wanted a multi Platform Sex Trafficking sim where I could beat up a fully rendered accurate Maria Ozawa that would be more authentic no?
No joke, revealed at TGS this year. No word if Yakuza: Of The End is Yakuza 5 but I doubt it, more like Kensan. Trailer
Can they at least include Segata Sanshiro as a playable character (even in special mission) ? XD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXpXbNzntOA Putting jokes aside, WTF? They could at least release a new House of the Dead in 3D action/adventure style (a la Dead Rising) if they wanted a new zombie game and using the name of a well-known francise at the same time.
Shadow the Hedgehog? Yeah, odd analogy I know, but it makes me wondering what does that have to do with the series... However, if they make the right decisions, this could be a success hit!
As die hard Ryu ga Gotoku fan I am very disappointed and really hope it's a spin-off. New story, new town (Osaka or Kyoto for example) would be enough for me but now it seems that whole RGG universe will be turned upside down.
