Jeez, how the hell am I going to find a vat big enough and find a supplier of sufficient quantities of bleach to dunk a full Naomi cabinet lol. Respray did the trick, but I would like to warn against using bleach on NUR cabinet plastic surrounds as one I tried it on literally fell apart. It became incredibly brittle really quickly.

10% or less bleach to water is the key. Neat on certain plastics would appear to be a death sentence. Bottom line, test it out if you can on another piece of similar plastic (i.e. you might have multiple controllers) before trying it on a valuable console.

Retr0bright has apparently been kicking around all the old computer/gaming sites over the last 2 weeks.. I've had some discussions with people on the topic and personally.. there's a lot of issues regarding it...

One of my biggest fears are over-valuation of older systems that have been dismantled, (probably handled badly internally), color-corrected, then posted for sale on ebay during this transition period where people do not know of this process yet, specifically to gain higher bids - the OMG it's NEW! effect...
Last thing I personally want is a rare console/computer missing internal screws, etc being sold to me as NEW when it's just been "faked" back to the original color.

Another issue is that regardless of what they say, not only has ABS become brittle over time in general, but this will increase this brittleness a slight amount....
It's old, let it be.. people need to stop trying to use this to make an already rare system double in price, only such that the new owners will have chunks crack off (like many other treatment methods) down the road.
I'm contemplating giving the mixture a shot, mainly just for personal mid-90's macintosh mods that are specifically NOT for collecting or archival purposes.. just for fun.. I might report back with my findings... (also have a couple sun-damaged psx cases sitting around gathering dust)
