someone told me that the first genesis had better picture quality is it true? i know that the RF cable is better on gen 1 , hooking it to the tv is easier to do than with the genesis 2.... but for the quality, is it true? :smt024
RF is better on the mk1 but there's no big difference with composite that I've noticed, and I haven't seen RGB on either. It's possible to get S-video out of a an original model, while it is not on a model number MK-1631 Genesis 2. The Genesis 1 uses a Sony CXA1145 video encoder; the modification process is the same as a Neo Geo. However, the MK-1451 Genesis 2 (which is the model I primarily use) and Genesis 3 use a newer Sony CXA1645 video encoder. These models have an easier mod for S-video than the original.
