so at least 14 ??? wow the Dreamcast is looking Healthy this year ^^ i hope all these make it as it secures the Dreamcast Future well into 2014
Oh yeah man, not to mention all the 'surprise' announcements we get from RedSpotGames and GOAT once they free up their release plans too! I reckon we'll see maybe half of those games this year and half or more next year - you're right either way though it's never been a better year for releases, at least not since 2002!
Very True ! i hope to see a 3D fighter that rivals Dead or Alive 2 or Soul Calibur one day or is that asking too much ? lol
Haha the closest we got was Maid Fight - apparently yes, it's too much to ask haha! I think we hopefully will have a 3D fighter soon.... The dream would be if someone found AM2's .Dev box with Virtua Fighter 4 on it
That would be awesome i also find it strange that Namco worked on Dreamcast for ages Yet where is TEKKEN ?? is there any chance at all that Tekken Tag was in dev for Dreamcast at one stage ????
Wish I had bought Fast Striker when it was available. I definitely prefer vertical over horizontal shmups. I know they're becoming almost cliche these days (especially from Hucast) but I'm still excited. That's not to say I wouldn't like to see more genres in the scene.
Sturmwind looks good, however is rather late to release, if it actually gets there of course. Given how flakey many DreamCast consoles are these days (drive units failing), and also I don't know the size of the DC community that buys new games, it will be interesting to see how many copies sell.
At the moment I have a modchipped DC that doesn't get much use. Various nitpicks combined add up. Too noisy, the strange controller, not many exclusives I currently care about, its VGA doesn't look all that great on my HDTV...
first Alpha screen shot > http://hucastgames.wordpress.com/2013/01/17/first-alpha-screen-teaser-of-ghost-blade-was-published/
"Caravan shooter" in the sense that it might actually be something original and not a lazy rehash like other DC shooters. Even if it's just copying PC Engine shooters, that's a pretty good choice and one that's not done very often.
It does look rather good doesn't it? I don't know how much I can gauge from one small picture but it looks graphically, well above Fast Striker and Dux.... It really is a good year for the Dreamcast!
The longer they take to bring out their titles the less demand there will be, as less people will have a working console to play them on. Give it a few more years, and the only retro consoles that will still work (PS2 and before) will be cartridge based consoles.
I agree i think Jaguar CD would be extinct first lol apparently there may be a 15th game in production will post a screen shot if i can find it
