My wife filled me in on all this yesterday - i've been out of the loop on pretty much everything due to work and other bits and bobs. :/ Lots of speculation that it's a suicide made to look like an accident for insurance purposes. Sucks any which way you slice it.
What insurance purposes? Life insurance covers suicide (by law). I just got a life insurance policy. My salesman told me if I was going to off myself I had to wait until 2 years after the policy took effect for my family to collect.

Haha. Yeah, it's pretty silly. Years ago when they were talking about changing it, I believe they changed it from 1 year to 2 years. This is specifically meant for the would-be suicide victim to suffer another year of anguish. Depressing reading Shocking little excerpt.
