YOu gotta hand it to them for their efforts in bringing over obscure games from Japan to the USA. They're gonna releease a deluxe packaging of what's called Growlanser Generations, which includes Growlanser 2 and 3 (2 is a prequel of one and 3 is the continuation of 1). The deluxe packaging is right down there \/\/\/ It comes with: -Games discs (I forget if its 2 DVDs or one DVD with both games in it) -Soundtrack CD (not some crappy mix CD, I heard they put some effort into the soundtrack) -Wrist Watch (A metal one that will last you, I have their pocket Arc the Lad watch and I use that occasionally) -Chain with metal ring, gold plated. -Playing Cards (yes... PLAYING CARDS!!) There will be a cheaper version that will include just the game and that's priced at $50. HOwever the deluxe edition is a whopping $90. I recently reserved my copy (deluxe edition) yesterday. The game will hopefully come out September but I doubt it since it's a WD published game.
??? Are you judging that on the fact that they refused Metal Slug 3? That is one game and there are many 2d games on the PS2
Thats true, but their new policy is that old 2d games must be released in compilations, unless it's a mixture of 3d and 2d then its different.
Not to be funny, but regular games cost about $80 here in the UK. So something like that is a bargain for $90... *whips out his credit card in anticipation of importing it and making a mint on ebay.co.uk*
I'm actually playing the first Growlanser right now. Kind of long, but a good RPG. A perfect mix of strategy and rpg. It has some issues, but worth getting. Too bad they're not doing the first one.
those guys always get a bad review. i liked arc the lad collection and they spent a long time on it, too. but it seems a lot of magazines didnt like 2d. most of them are 3d worshippers. rayer: i used to like x play until they said dumb crap about 3d games, too.
