I mean, everyone here loves the Dreamcast a ton...but seriously...have you played the games? They're fucking awesome. I can't think of a system that comes anywhere near close to it.
I still love my DC and its collection till this day even though i dony use it so much any more. and the quality to crap game ratio is imo the best in the last 15 years!
I liked Dreamcast a LOT when it came out, slowly I've been loosing interest. I'm not a PowerVR fan I guess, something is strange to me about the graphics. I have no clue what it is. Saturn seems much more Segaey. I also don't dig the case or the GDROM's noise but do appreciate the groundbreaking titles. IMO, its a good system, not the worst by any means but I think its strangely overappeciated here. I guess it has that "retro" but not next-generation feel
What, you mean you don't like the infernal grinding that made me flip out the first time I got my Dreamcast and thought it was broken? :smt043
I can, a Saturn :smt023 I've been playing Saturn games non-stop for the last month. Sure there's always the "Big" named games that are good such as NiGHTS, Burning Rangers, Virtua Fighter 2 and the Capcom and SNK games but if you really want to have fun with the saturn you MUST get a japanese model or atleast a mod so you can play all those wonderful never heared of titles. The saturn in my eyes is far more fun than the Dreamcast. I love my Dreamcast and think it's a wonderful machine but I rate the saturn higher. God, I love the tones of shooters for it. I may do a Saturn Shooting Specialfor my site one day. Got at least 30 shooters for it including some really odd crap like Planet Joker and G-Vector. Yakumo
I love Saturn 5x as much as DC, its hard to find a Saturn game that isn't at least interesting but shitty or shitty with interesting gameplay. IMO the only thing wrong with Saturn is the FMV, if only Saturn got DC's SFD playback :\
You're 100% right there Kyuusaku. games like Planet Joker are really shitty but still you are drawn to play them for some odd reason. Is it to see how shitty theyt get or do they have a special pulling power ? Yakumo
You know, I sort of feel the same way. Yes, it's a good system...don't get me wrong. But, I've owned once since they launched in 1999 and maybe it's just me, but I do think a good portion of the US releases are lacking. I'll always keep my DC setup if only to experience the joy and beauty of Shenmue and Soul Calibur, but I don't have a major appreciation for the system. And that GDROM noise....it almost sounds like the poor system is sawing itself in half! ;-)
am i the only one to like FMV games? :-( i think they are quite funny! i laugh each time i put one in my sega cd. :-D
