Now that I think about it, if you're dumb enough to give up your right to vote for an iPod, you're probably too dumb to vote on who leads our country as well.

[sarcasm] Yeah, I want to live in a country where child porn is legal. [/sarcasm]

But seriously, I've heard some people on other boards say the US isn't Democratic because our age limit on sexual relations is "Too high". I think the guy who said this lived in Russia.

Until you realize the massive devalueing this would cause thus rendering your money near worthless.. On top of that, depending on who is voted in you may be paying in excess of 60% of that in taxes anyway.

Just make voting compulsory, fine people that don't vote and have a 'None of the above' so if people don't want to vote for the people stated then they have a third way.

Young people often feel disconnected from the rest of society. We've got a group of young people now who are so aware of injustice from all over the world, who know so much more, and believe in so much less from a traditional standpoint, that when they see a president going against everything they see as being right and fair, they get distanced and don't see much of a point voting, since there's no one who really represents them, and if there is, they're not gonna get elected.

I personally don't see much changing until a viable third party comes along (fat chance of that) and term limits are imposed on congress.
