NES: Mario bros 1 or 3
    PCE: Bonks Adventure
    Mega Drive: Sonic 2
SNES: Zelda Link To The Past
    Saturn: Virtua Fighter 2

    PS2: Shadow of the colosuss
    Xbox: Burnout 3/Halo
GC: RE4 (Hopefully will be overtaken by Zelda:TP once its out..

Might be interesting to compile a Assembler Games' favourite games: Each vote for each game on each system counts as 1, although where there is more than one game chosen (e.g. NES for me) it counts as 1/n vote. I might compile that once this dies down a little and everyone has chosen.

You know, we really should have like an ASSEMbler top 100 best games ever or something, there's been times where I've checked out those lists to see what to play next but there usually done by the BS magazines and sites that never list Genesis games and always give #1 to Mario, Tetris, etc. We could make a list of the REAL good games. (not that those aren't good, I just feel that the lists could be a little better)

Yeah, a community top-100 list, maybe made by number of votes, just for statistical purposes, would rock. Then members would be comissioned to write about one game, one game per member, they chose to be part of the top 100. This would be a mega-article, but would also be representative and very fun.

How do we make it happen?

Guess the best way to do it would be that each member gets say 20 points which can be awarded to any number of games, and then this is compiled into a list. With the 20 points you could say have 5 favourite games awarding each 4 points, or one 8, one 6, one 3, 2, 1, or 2 games with 10 points each, etc. I'd be happy to organise this if we can settle on the way to rate games.

Anyone else notice that the title also said "From Each Console", yet computers are being listed as well, even by the thread starter. :banghead:

BTW: MSX and 3DO are multi-brand standards. Over 30 companies built MSX systems. Sony wasn't even the leader, as they quit the standard in 1989, and Panasonic caried on up until 1991.

I'll help you, also with the statistics / mathematics involved. This will be a fun project.

If we play it that way, then Chrono Trigger wins for me (though it's not the game I play the most, which is Dr. Mario).

I think by console is fine, though, since each console offers a different feel in gameplay.

As for compiling a list of favorite games, I think we should do it.

My point was is that anyone can list 5 of their favorite games from every console. Picking just one, is the beauty of the thread. There's tons of stuff I love on the Saturn, but just naming one is very hard.

Most shocking parts of this thread:
-Didn't think so many people would rank Jet Set Radio
-Didnt' think someone would name Renny Blaster as theyir favorite SCD (I heard it was garbage).

I thought the all uppercase thing for Xbox only *officially* applies to XBOX 360? Although, the hyphen thing is annoying and I think it looks best all capitals...
