So, I was inspired by the mobile phone thread, and I thought we should have a similar thread for computers. This might fit better in the computer forums, but I thought it should go here so that it’s together with the phone thread. The mods can move it if they so desire. Please share pictures, model numbers, and specs, if you have them. Here are my computers: Here’s my desktop. I built it myself. I actually built the first version of it back in 2010, and I’ve continually updated it since then. It has all new components now, except for the case, DVD drive, and HDD. It is a very powerful machine. Specs: Core i7-3770K (Ivy Bridge) 3.5Ghz 16GB DDR3 SDRAM GTX 780 w/ 3GB GDDR5 Gigabyte Z77-D3H motherboard 240GB SSD 1TB HDD Here’s my 13” MacBook Pro with Retina Display. I just got this recently, and I love it. The retina display is pretty amazing, it’s very light and thin, and the build quality is really nice. Even though it uses integrated graphics, it performs pretty well, and OS X runs very smoothly. Specs: Core i5 (Haswell) 2.4Ghz 8GB DDR3 SDRAM Intel Iris graphics 256GB PCIe-based SSD 13” Retina Display (2560 x 1600, 16:10) 802.11ac Wi-Fi Mac OS X 10.9.1 Mavericks & Windows 7
my first pc build. biostar motherboard. 1.8ghz duel core and 8gb ram 120kingston ssd drive, running windows 7 64bit.. loving it
I own quite a few PCs but only use 3 of them daily. The one I use the most is in work. This is my little note pad Asus EeePC. It's a rebuilt unit running Windows 7 and Android 4.1 with 4GB of memory and a 500GB hard drive. My home desktop that I do my photo shop work, music and video editing on as well as test out Wii games, Model 3 emulation and surf the net. It has 8GB of memory and 2x500 GB hard drives. around the back is quite busy but has two very nice bits of kit in there. And finally I have a Acer Aspire laptop connected to my TV via HDMI. I use this for watching downloaded TV and emulation.
I'm in a retro PC collecting mode right now, but I've got 5 desktops, 3 laptops and 2 netbooks. The specs range wildly from Pentium I to Core 2, 80 MB - 3 GB RAM and DOS/Windows 3.1 to Windows 8. The only thing keeping them from being a complete evolution road map is that I no longer have a Pentium III desktop.
Here's my machine, I built this roughly in 2011, and still serves me well. I don't play games on the PC so I haven't updated anything apart from the RAM to 8GB it was 4GB originally.
2009 Unibody White MacBook. My favourite version of the MacBook (PolyCarb for the win). I would have liked a 2010 model for the better GPU but was on a tight budget at the time and these still demand quite a few pounds. Upgraded to 6GB of Ram and as soon as I get my first pay-check (woooo new job!!) I'll be taking it to 8GB along with a 240GB SSD. Right now it does everything I need it to (namely Xcode and Photoshop). Nabbed a stock image on the count of laziness.
I forgot, I also have an old iMac G3. I can't take pictures of it right now since it's not easily accessible, but perhaps later.
Mine's a Mini ITX system in a Silverstone SG05 case. Currently got a pretty poor AMD motherboard and CPU, 16GB of RAM and a GTX 560 Ti card, 240GB Samsung SSD and 1TB HDD.

Oh my glob... That one's just screaming for a Retr0bright treatment (don't forget to take some "before" pics)!
That is one insane setup you got there! Do you use it for work/editing or gaming? I imagine this rig is boosting through pretty much any game and design program available.
I have 3 main machines, My desktop: Intel i7 3770k Nvidia GTX 780 16gb Ram Raid 0 ssd's 2x 23" monitors This is my play machine has all the power for everything I ever want todo mostly play games and write code. 2nd Machine: Late 2012 15" Macbook Pro i7 Quad core GTX 650m 16gb Ram 256GB SSD This is my work machine, I did all my 2nd year uni work on this I now use it as my day to day machine for the software development I do at work. Its a work horse it gets bashed about and abused. 3rd Machine: Dell Precision M4400 Core 2 Duo Extreme 2.7ghz Nvidia FX1700 Graphics 8GB Ddr2 667mhz 2x 120gb SSD's Extra Slice Battery and extra 9 Cell on the back. 1200p Screen This is my Linux/Windows laptop that I have mostly for a project although it does get used for Linux development projects. Where ever the Mac dosn't get used this will be used in place Sorry for crummy picture
It seems like I'm the only one with the back panel facing me for easy port access. Plenty of ports (ten USB, eight 2.0 and two 3.0, one IEEE1394), all of them well accesible, standard subpar AC97 audio and Realtek LAN. The specs are quite shitty too: Core 2 Quad Q6600 OC@3.06 GHz 8 GB DDR2 800 MHz RAM Radeon HD 5770 with 2 GB 64 GB Kingston SSD as main drive 2 TB Western Digital drive as data drive It does everything I need, and very, very fast for my taste. So I'm very pleased with it.
most time for gaming, also for some development. Really like it, runs very smooth and without any problem for about a year. Hope this setup will give me some more years without limitations. I think about switching the multi-screens to a Asus ROG Gsync PG278Q when it comes out. Yes, i bought it because of using my headphones on PC. very nice sound card.
