if i remember correctly, good intel flash chip have a data retention time of 50years (at least)... But, yeah, basic flash loose data way before. "will the games itself still keep their value even they don't run anymore? is it comparable with a very old and expensive bottle of vine, which isn't enjoably anymore?" Lol, exactly ^^... Some peoples even collect stamps Maybe, soon, video game will totaly melt with our life and become a part of it. So vintage video games will become crazy prehistoric curiosities ^^ There will be "museum of horrors" and some peoples will come and say "woahh, he got a gameover, you see, a game over ! that game was a certainely a pain to play"
