After a recent encounter with a stupid eBayer, I deemed it necessary to post this topic not only to share my story, but to hear what other people have encountered as well.

Anyways, for the past several days, I have been responding to one user's questions about a motherboard I have for sale. Basically, he wanted the cheapest shipping as long as it arrives, so I responded with an estimate, and two days later, I get this email:

WTF...he has not even used the buy it now feature on my auction, paid me anything, and he's asking if it's on his way? Wow, talk about a dumbass.

I respond with, "Are you joking. You haven't made the purchase yet. Paul."

In response to that, he puts:

Uh, yeah, since when has Paypal been 4 days slow, especially when they charge a fee for ever transfer...

The funny thing is, he's not from Nigeria, which is what one might think with his horrible spelling..

    So there's my story. Let's hear your's.

Well, I tried to get Digimon World for the DS from an Ebay Store.

    First attempt:

Try to buy one from Ebay Store seller who says he has it in stock.

Wait 2 weeks, get E-mail saying "Sorry theres been a problem at our warehouse! Please blah blah blah..."

Wait 2 weeks more. Get refund.

    Second Attempt:

Try to buy one from another Ebay Store seller who says he has it in stock.

Wait 2 weeks, get E-mail saying "Sorry theres been a problem at our warehouse! Please blah blah blah..."

Turns out its the same seller with a different store and Paypal account.

Wait 2 weeks more. Get refund.

Thats pretty bad for a first timer on Ebay.

I used my refund Paypal money to help get the Balrog thing in my room.

I bought a complete MD1 with 6 games... The AC adaptor, games, gamepads and instruction manual arrived... The console didn't. o.o

Anyway, since I payed 40€ for all the pack with postage included, I didn't bother too much... I asked him several times but he didn't never answer.

I bought a white PSone controller, a few days later I get a package with a black PS2 controller with a jammed R2 button. I contact the seller, but he gives me bad flak. Two weeks later I suddenly get another parcel with the promised white PS1 pad.

And then there was this guy whom I sold an Amiga 2000. He asks if he can pick it up by bike, with some special "trailer"-like thingie on his bicycle. When he shows up he turns out to be a 50 year old guy from Rotterdam (some 50km from where I lived back then). There's some sportsmanship!

I paid for a trashy bitch to come and give me "the best rim job of my life". Well, the auction finished at $28.93, so obviously I wasn't expecting much, but this was just weak. Lasted 2 minutes and wasn't even close to the best rim job I had ever got. She even had all her teeth which was a major let down.

I opened up a dispute at Ebay but they said it wasn't covered in their buyer protection clause.

Yeah, I'm drunk. I made most of that up. Going to bed. Blow me.

Teeth for a rim job? man you must literally want your ass eaten.

Now lets get this back on topic.
I haven`t ever really had anything ridiculous happen just the usual sellers talking shit about when they sent items and giving poor excuses and maybe one or two items that never arrived. If you really want to be an ass and think you didnt get enough for your aucion put a fucking reserve on it, at the absolute worst refund and say its not for sale anymore.

I tried to sell Halo 3, no big deal right? It's Halo 3, someone has to want it.

Sold it, guy says it doesn't really want it so I cut him some slack because I'm not an asshole and would rather not get negative feedback either.

Relist for free. Winner says his kid bid on it and he doesn't have the money to pay.

Cut some slack again. Halo 3 sits on my shelf.

I have a bunch of crazy laptop stories, most of which involve paypal. Most recent one involved Oblivion for the PC. Solid it cheap, like $15 for everything. One day, I got a email from the "buyer" saying "she" had gotten it and it was broke, and to give her a refund. Here is the thing:

    -The buyer was a dude

-I am horribly lazy about sending out ebay stuff on time, so it was laying on my desk.

After a quick search, I realized the buyer did not match up to the one emailing me, so I sent her a nice little email telling her what she did wrong. Never got a reply.

Sad part is I got a negative on this auction. The real buyer left negative feedback 2 weeks later saying he never got it and contacted me several times, which I never got anything from him.

Last year I was in a Famiclone collection phase, and my dad bought one for Christmas off ebay that I had my eye on for a while. Ended up being the wrong system, but my dad gave the seller a neutral because it was essentially the same damn thing, and was one of the ones on my wish list.:110:

I've been looking to buy a cheap keyboard with midi over usb and found one at a good price some time ago.. so I mail the guy and ask what the shipping would be. Waited two days and mailed him again and he says that if I want to buy it from him I have to fix with the shipping myself?! o_O

Yeah, eBay usually does not cover incest relationships in their buyer protection clause, especially when it is between two women. Tell your mom to get a new job though ;p

A guy left negative feedback for my recycling of packaging when I sent him a PSP game. I apolagised to him, saying that I won't try to save costs/the environment again.

When I tried to sell my old 360 core a while back I had to list it about 3 times because someone would always bid but not pay, saying their daughter had bid, or something like that.

I sold a GBA SP a while back when I was living with my parents. The auction was in the run up to christmas and while the auction was running I was in a car accident. I sent the buyer an e-mail explaining what had happened and why I couldn't post it (Parents live in a really remote area without any transport links, nearest post office is 10 miles away, my car was mashed and my parents work from 8-6 so they couldnt post it for me). So he responds with an angry e-mail saying that I've ruined his disabled brothers Christmas, how could I live with myself etc etc. He didn't want a refund though.

I get that all the time, some people expect brand new packing on items, personally i recycle as much as i can, and anything i have bought off ebay the packging is always reused either by sending items back out in it, or by rotting down in the gadren for compost, for 1 its good for the environment, and for 2 its cheaper than going out and buying new packaging materials, plus as a business seller i have to keep my refuse to a minimum as i technically should have to pay for my waste

Another good example of ebay morons is one from last week, i sold a console to him, it said in the auction i would ship within 3-5 days and a courier would be booked for collection, he paid straight away after the auction ended (at 5:03pm) and immediately emailed me saying could i post royalmail special delivery so he could receive it next day before 9am (bear in mind he only paid £10 shipping costs) i emailed him back, explained that as stated in the auction i would book a courier for collection, and that would be done within the next few days, and i would provide him with all the details once they had collected, i also explained that royalmail special delivery would be far in excess of £20 for delivery and even if that were possible it was after 5pm and my local post office closes at 4:30, and i would not be sending it that way due to the costs involved, to this i did not receive a response

The next morning, at 8:56am, i received a very arsey email from the guy saying that he was very disappointed he had not received the item, and has specifically told me to send it the day before, so again i emailed back explaining i would be booking a courier to collect the following day and would provide him with tracking and confirmation once they had collected

That night i get another email from him demanding the tracking number and what time it would be delivered the next day!

I wont bore you with the rest, but the guy is a complete w*nker who has been nothing but trouble since the auction ended, i know he has received it as have proof of delivery from the courier, but i have yet to hear back from him, and i suspect i have not heard the end of it from him

My story isn't as elaborate as some of yours, but I thought I'd share anyway.

Back when the DS Lite came out, I really wanted one badly but I already had the original. So, my logical plan was to sell it on eBay and trade in a few games or just pay the difference.

Well, I'm not sure what it wound up selling for, but it was a fairly good bargain for both parties involved. Anyway, almost immediately upon reception of payment I packaged up my old DS. I had all the original packaging it came in; all the manuals, wrappings, stylus, etc. I even threw in an extra stylus and the old car charger for it since its not compatible with the lite. I figured surely the winning bidder would be pleased with the lengths I went to. I was wrong. Shortly after he received his shipment, he gave me neutral feedback.

I have no idea what he was unsatisifed with. I emailed him but he never responded. Go figure...

    Guilty as charged

I would've told him to go fuck himself. I recycle almost all the time...especially for a $30 item? Gimme a break.

And why is there gay people in PS's avatar?
