With the good comes the bad. I figured the Your best game trade / unbelievable deal stories here thread needed a Yang to it's Yin.

For me I have to that come to mind. One time at Kay Bee toys I missed out eight copies of Snatcher sitting brand new in the closeout bin for around $5.00 or $10.00 dollars. Another was when I had the chance to buy twenty copies of Panzer Dragoon Saga at $19.00 dollars each at a local KMart. Both times I had enough money on me to do it. If only I could have forseen Ebay.

for me it's missing out on a boxed, new, sealed 3DO Blaster for approx. 12e. I didnt even have a clue what it was, I thought it was a 3D accelerator of some sorts (sue me, I was 12 years old or something :p) but I didnt have enough cash on me and I couldnt persuade my brother to buy it :(

Furthermore, when I just bought my Saturn I was so stupid to shell out 30e for a boxed copy of Virtual On.
Some years ago I bought a Megadrive2 + 2 pads+ one game for 20e, but then the seller let me have his NES + 2 pads + zapper + game for 0.30e so that wasnt such a bad deal :p

Or ordering Street Fighter Alpha 3 (GBA) for 13 quid in the UK because I couldnt find it in Holland, a week after I got it its in budget bins everywhere for 15e

    Hmm, let's see:

Buying a Super 32X of Evil-Bay from England. It was described as complete, but after receiving the package, it was beat up and missing it's original power supply. (The pics looked good :-[)

Sending back a broken MGD2 w/PCE attachment, with out insurance or tracking. :-( At the time (a few years ago) I paid $250, all down the drain. All gone.....

I haven't made many mistakes, but a few it too many.

Also trading 2 Magic Knight Rayearth's to J&L [I will hold back my comments :)] for $20 each, when I could have easily sold them on Evil-Bay for $40+.

Oh well, live and learn......Or in my case, just live. :-|

A shop near me thought the Neo Geo Pocket would be the next big thing and had loads of systems and games available.

Just before the store got sold off all the games were sold very cheaply (even the PS2 stuff which was pretty new at the time) I remember multiples of Pocket Reversi being there for £5 and a host of other games, unfortunately I thought little of it at the time :(

I purchased a prototype Master System out of eBay, October 1999.
The seller said he appreciated our work at SMS Power, and offered to pay shipping. He sent it uninsured via surface mail. Never arrived.

    My worst nightmare.
It makes me want to cry.

I bought an MSX games I REALLY wanted new sealed for $299 only to see it 4 years later for $80.

And I paid $500 for my neo mahjong controller about 6 years ago
before they found a huge warehouse of them.
