This is only my opinion - I have little to back it up - but I think that Yu Suzuki was retired a while before this. I believe that's what led Sega of America's Simon Jeffrey to believe that Suzuki was no longer with SEGA, when he was still there in a much-reduced role - sort of a courtesy position. The PDF released from Sega-Sammy the other day lists Suzuki as "retired", but not newly retired as of that writing. I admit that's unknown. In Japan, corporations often have to beg their staff to retire. The agent can refuse, sometimes staying at the company in a reduced role. It seems perhaps Suzuki's being shuffled around, trying to find the best fit for his sunset years. I'd like to know if he still has the same office, with all his Ferrari memorabilia and other cool things.
