does some of you guys know some possible cheats hidden menus for those Yu games on the extra GD? Since i was used to play all those games on the sega ages on saturn, you had some hidden menues (e.g. to unlock the 60fps mode in out run, oversea version etc..). also an exchange cheat for the ugly testarossa-replacement would be highly appreciated. without a testarossa in out run the whole game is worthless and not nearly that funny it should be.
further the access of BGM, setting etc. menues?
    couldn't find anything so far.
    thanx in advance.

Have you tried gamefaqs.com ? I would be interested in some codes as well. I know Hang On has an option screen that allows you to change some items including the audio to have beat or without. Both settings sound the same to me mind you. I think there's a menu for Space Harrier too for reversing the controlls. I'll have to get that one out again. I'd love to have a sound test for Power Drift on it.

It seems odd they'd make those menus hidden in Sega Ages. Why would you, when they add extra value to the game?

Or were they meant to be unlocked with high scores/completion?

They need a cheat to open a button config. Then the games might be playable. Utter crap that one is.

Apart from Hang On, the rest of the games do feel cobbled together, it is a waste of cash unless you are a collector or don't have the games on the Sega Saturn. Not found any cheats to make it remotely playable...

yeah..thanks guys (& yoda) for the answers. it's a shame. they really put big efforts in the book, but nothing in the GD. especially regarded to the facts, they hadn't to do anything more than simply copy/paste the sega ages onto the GD (+ some code tailoring).

almost as simple as burning a DVD with NERO. dammit.

I have to say that I don't agree. In fact the worst game on the disc is Hang on since it's a direct copy of the version found on Shenmue. It even has Shenmue towns written on the background bill boards.

Out Run, Space Harrier, Power Drift and Afterburner are all far superior to the Saturn versions. I've played both versions to death. I always thought Power Drift on the Saturn was arcade perfect but it’s actually quite bad compared to the DC version.

Even if the DC version didn't require you to use the analogue stick for most games, I'm pretty sure the DC version uses an interlaced screen whereas the Saturn versions are in 240p. That alone will make anyone w/ a proper monitor's choice for them.

Oh I see, the old arcade games were released on a museum style disc with a book?

cant' agree with that as well. since they replaced the original testarossa to that inexistent crap vehicle, that game became absolutely valueless (doesn't matter for what reason they did).
furthermore, on the DC version i can't (yet) access to the 60fps mode, which made outrun on the Saturn to a complete new experience.

therefore, outrun is the most disappointed and useless title on the GD. by far!

yes they did. since the shenmue release they had to remove/replace the ferrari testarossa, propably the "legendariest" of any cars ever appeared in a video game, due to any reasons (rights?..)

here the testarossa in the original:
