As stated in this tweet, Yuji Naka has officially joined Square Enix as a developer. The founder of Sonic Team, he left Sega in 2006 to form Prope, which developed Let's Tap for the Wii. Prope hasn't released a game since 2015. Although not many details are known right now, it will be interesting to see what he will be doing at Square Enix.
With a reputation like his, I'd love to see him lead some new IP. I don't think he's the type to want to let others decide what he should be doing.
I'm curious to see if SE will buy some of Naka's old properties back. I wouldn't mind seeing another NiGHTs or Burning Rangers.
Yuji Naka has the codings skills of a ninja. Seriously, the only one who i ever compared to him was Satoru Iwata so, i really hope SE takes the chance to make his programming skills shine more but, the question is...what's going to happen to Prope? After all, it's his company, which was founded in 2006, same year where that travesti came and almost killed it completely :-/
