As the title says, is anyone going to see the Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony at any of the venues? I'd love to go but I'm in a shit-of-a-country far far away. Site: http://www.zelda-symphony.com/ This was announced at E3 by Shigeru if I recall correctly.
Ahhh, will be playing right next to me. Thank you for bringing this up!!! + $50 doesn't sound to unreasonable. & the sample they play through the website is pretty epic!
Tickets go on sale August 8th for a London show. It'd be cool to go. I just don't understand how Ticketmaster can charge FIFTEEN DOLLARS in fees(?). OH:
The price of going to LA to see the show is a little higher than I like (tickets, flight, hotel add up quickly), but I'm fairly certain they'll be bringing the show to my part of the country eventually. Kinda sad to miss the first show, as I'm assuming the meet and greet will be limited to the first performance, but I think those tickets are gone anyway. Also, yes, Ticketmaster is absolutely horrible. They've always been horrible.
SAD FACE WITH A TEAR ROLLING DOWN THE CHEEK.... I can't go........... Guess I'll have to settle with attending the Body Worlds Expo while listening to a Zelda soundtrack from OC Remix
The Hammersmith Apollo is a great venue for rock and pop music but for classical music it is horrible (most reviews of classical music at the apollo have been average to negative). I am surprised that they didn't try for a proper classical concert hall like the Barbican (which does have baffling to make the sound travell well regardless of where you are sitting).
will there be a CD released? or are they really doing this to record a soundtrack for the next Zelda while offsetting the cost of the orchestra by selling tickets to people?
They already did release a CD - it's an OoT soundtrack. You got it for free if you registered OoT 3D on Club Nintendo within a certain time period. Unfortunately I was just a bit too late.
The pricing for the london show, is without question a joke. They are clearly trying to cash in from the nintendo fanboys. I was planning on going till i saw the venue and pricing.
Glad you think so too, they should have waited until next year and got a proper music venue that could seat over twice as many people and have seating between 11 to 90 quid.
Don't worry; More locations will be announced These first few locations (Tokyo, Los Angeles, and London) will be followed by a full tour coming in 2012.
