well PAL is standing on the package. some people say that this is a swedish version, but I don''t know if its true
I have a vague memory of a friend talking about his N64 coming in a Zelda box, so there may have been a British release. Not sure at all, though, so don't take that as a given.
Doesn't someone on the forum have this? He said it was an employee-only thing, he thought. As it seems to be in English, I'd imagine it were UK or Australian. I'd lean slightly towards the Australian, where they had a limited edition version of the game (and we had none). I don't remember it being released in the shops at all here.
but if it was the australian version, why is the manual of the game black? the manual of the australian ocarina of time is like the american one o0'' and the game itself looks like "our" PAL version
The UK PAL manual is JUST like that. I don't doubt the Aussie limited version had a different manual, but most of their games were the same as UK PAL, so I don't see why the manual shouldn't be a standard PAL one. It's just a guess, of course! All I'm saying is that I was in close contact with friends in retail at the time, they showed me all things interesting that they could get but didn't (e.g. display pods) but they never showed me this and don't remember it. It is possible it was an exclusive to Toys'R'Us or someone like that, of course.
Damn that's expensive! I'm sure my friend would love it, though.. he has most the PAL consoles. Is it Swedish, then?
Yeah, it's not the Australian version because all the copies released here are Gold carts and so is the manual/box.
My friend bought that pack from an independent UK game shop back in the day, i remember it well as it was the first time i'd actually played a Zelda game. The shop had a lot of imports though (it still sold Asian Megadrives and games at the time) so it could well have been imported by them.
Hey pal, did your mate get it from Arcadia in Leeds? I seem to remember seeing them in there years ago too. (PS, I will drop that N64 cart in at yours some point this week, the one I borrowed)
Yes, it was from Arcadia :nod:. If i'd have been into collecting back then i'd have snagged one for myself too. I was quite content with my Goldeneye package and didn't fancy forking out for another console back then.
does anybody know what the shipping costs would be within europe for this package ^^'' because I've no idea ... 140 euros for a n64 is a high price I hope I can make a better price with him xD
140 euros is not to bad for the rareity of the item. I would quite gladly pay that for it as i have almost all PAL release consoles but not that one in my collection. Its amazing that i never heard of this as i scout around for a lot of N64 stuff. Looks cool though
