Does anyone know about this? I haven't seen anyone talking about it. I can't wait for this to get released. I have to go get a Z64 or something now. http://outlawer.net/bbs/index.php?topic=7.0 Theres a video on there too.
I really hope he gets to finish this project, I sure as hell would put money and more importantly time into this. If only I had some skill at something... First Squeenix C&D's 3D Chrono and more appropriate to the topic, Nintendo cans 2D OoT. Thanks for sharing i'll check back often. WTH found this in the Vault http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=VWv4Ary6v3I I wish the triforce would stay still...
Looks interesting now sure how stable it will be in the long run but something tells me it will never get finished
I hope so because OoT is still my best game to date and online would be pretty rad! but we shall have to see and apparently theres a demo coming soon so I'll will test it out then
What makes you think this will run on hardware? I was under the impression that most N64 hacks made use of high level emulator features.
It's a very impressive hack, but I don't understand why anyone would want to play this. The game's dungeons, puzzles, and enemies were designed to be run through by a single player. Adding more players, I don't see a point to it after running around the overworld gets boring.
As far as I'm aware, none of the hacks for Ocarina of Time rely on any emulator features (except for maybe improperly written assembly ), so this should run on hardware... if it ever gets released, that is.
I didn't think Nintendo canned it. I thought it was that the developer went bonkers after all the press attention and so pretended that he was dead. It would have worked too if the internet made such things impossible.
mooseblaster: You were dead right Nintendo had nothing to do with it. I would certainly fake my own death if I was getting calls from random people about some of my private projects. I'm not a fan of people as it is, whatever it takes to be left alone.
Anyone want to tell me what the point is? Other than hardcore (insane) Zelda fans, I don't see anyone being that interested in it. I could think of cool hack projects. And I agree with Calpis and the question of if it'll even really work.
Wait, the 2d OoT guy faked his own death? I remember the thread about his death a really long time ago.
