    Which do you prefer?

I really like the US one. It looks really "classy" while I would consider the Japanese one to be "in your face" like a lot of other US boxart.

I find it a little strange that the Japanese one is this way, though. I hear many people say the PAL version will be the worst, but I guess we'll have to wait.

well if I imagine myself as a kid going to buy the game, i d be far more eager to see the contents of the game from the Japanese cover.

By the way, in the GameCube japanese version, the opening has a BLUE nintendo logo. Is that in line with the Wii version's nintendo logo at the start?

I like the US version much more. It seems more time was spent thinking of its design and working on its appearance.

I mean it looks more classy and adult looking. Maybe nintendo trying to help boost the Wii's status and play keep away with their old "only for kids" look.

For once, I like the US version better, although the Japanese art doesn't look bad, either.

Zelda is not really a serise known for having great box art. The US release is usually just a gold background with the logo centered and a sword or sheild.

OOT japanes box art was really nice and captured sorta the epic of the game. This time however, the box art for the U.S. version literally points out the dark/light world element of the game.

So I have to say I like the U.S. version better.

The PAL boxart is the same as the US one. But Personally in this case i prefer the US one as well, it feels more stylish then the japanese one.

Is the US version printed with silver on the Wii logo and in other areas? How about the back of the cases? The back of the Japanese one looks good.

...Can't decide. I think the US / PAL one is a bit too plain, so I don't know. I just wish they'd done the Japanese logo actually in Japanese. Zelda logos always look great in Japanese.

I'm back home now so I can see the two images. Yeah, I like the Japanese one better because that really does show the light and dark sides where the US version looks darkish on both sides. You can't tell from the scan but the Japanese cover is all reflective silver on the light side. I'd like to see the back of the US case. Anyone have a scan?

Not quite sure why but I prefet the JP one, the US one is pretty good too tho. The JP one just seems to capture the 'Zelda-ness' better.

They both look pretty good. I like the little "disipating" part of the Japanese. The US one looks more like it captures the idea of the game... but it is a bit cliche', no?

What I dont get is why nintendo didnt release a special edition like MS did with Halo2 and GoW? after all this is "teh sh1t!" for both GC and Wii, and has been in the making for quite some time...
