I got my Saturn back on Veteran's Day weekend in 2012 after wanting one since 2004. So, I've had it for about 15 months. Here's what I have so far. I like collecting Japan releases because I hate the longboxes, they're usually cheap, and the artwork is usually better.

    US Releases

    Virtual On Netlink
    Manx TT
    Slam and Jam
    Fighting Vipers
    F1 Challenge
    Earthworm Jim 2
    Galactic Attack
    Sonic Jam
    Wing Arms

    Japan Releases

    Daytona Circuit Edition
    Virtua Racing
    X-Men COTA
    Burning Rangers
    GunGriffon 1
    Steep Slope Sliders
    Assault Suit Leynos 2
    Clockwork Knight 1
    Marvel Super Heroes
    Virtua Fighter 1
    Street Fighter Zero 1
    Vampire Hunter
    Wipeout
    King of Fighters 97
    Steamgear Mash
    Willy Wombat
    Panzer Dragoon Zwei
    Astal
    Columns Arcade Collection
    Sega Rally
    Gundam Gaiden Ep 1
    Dead or Alive
    Grandia
    World Heroes Perfect
    Shining Wisdom
    Shining Force III Sc 1
    Rockman X3
    Konami Antiques MSX Ultra Pack

Added some new items to my collection:

CIB Japan Saturn model 1 HST-3200. Until now, I've been using a US model 2 with an action replay cart.

A few Japanese CIB games: King of Fighters 96 w/ RAM cart
    Touge King the Spirits
    Daytona USA
    Real Bout Fatal Fury Special
    Winter Heat

Good call with getting JP Saturn games, I do the same thing for games that have really no language barrier, saves a lot of money (Panzer Dragoon JP is like $20 USD, US copy is $40 USD)

Also how is the Konami Antiques MSX Ultra Pack? I've been entertaining the idea of picking up a copy but I'm not sure how good the emulation would be.

I don't think the games are emulated. I doubt Konami wrote an emulator for the Saturn. They're likely ported. I haven't tried all 30 games, but the ones I have tried do play/sound good. Then again, I have no experience playing MSX games so take my opinion for what it's worth. They're fun, though. I recommend it. I mainly bought it for the 3 Gradius games, Salamander, and Parodius. The other games I've tried so far, like King's Valley, Magical Tree, Tennis, Hyper Rally, and Time Pilot are all top class.

I would, but I'm living at school right now and I keep all the cases at home. I just bring all the discs in a binder.

cool to hear about Konami Antiques being spot-on...and agreed on JP cases/art typically being better but how do you get by with text-heavy stuff like SF III sc 1, Shining Wisdom etc? lotta moonspeak there if you're not playing with a guide!

I just have a script translation with me whenever I play Shining Wisdom. The gameplay itself doesn't really require you to read anything. I'm almost done with it and I've had no trouble getting through it. I haven't actually tried SFIII yet, but I do have a translation ready. It's definitely more daunting, especially since I've never played a strategy RPG before. If I have problems getting through it, I'll just remind myself I only paid $10 for it.

Even if you were to get Shining Force III/Scenario 1 you still would need 2 more scenarios to go through mate. Good news is that there are translation patches for those 2 games already. Good Luck on your search for SHIII :)

I can get you on the right track. It just depends what kind of game you are wanting to get into because here is the thing. There are lots of rpgs, visual novels, arcade ports, and shmups for the JP saturn. It just all depends on the kind of gamer you are though. If you are an rpg lover you will definitely save money from rather gettin the US ver. that also goes along with visual novels(eve burst error fantastic btw), but again that all depends on your ability for japanese. The other 2 genres like arcade ports, shmups, or fighters is where things will definitely get $$$. Anyways just ask away mate :)

very nice additions to your saturn collection. the gradius pack is quite nice. I got to try it out at my friends because he owns that one in particular. Also that Castlevania one is a nice addition too man. Seems like you are going on a right track to nice JP collection :)

Yeah, the Gradius Pack is fantastic. I really want to get the Salamander Pack next. I actually found a seller who had a copy of each up for bidding. I set up a snipe for both of them for the same amount, but I only won Gradius. Castlevania was weird. I was new to ebay and just put in a bid as soon as I saw it, and I won. No one tried to snipe me. I thought things like that never happen on ebay, especially with a desirable game like that.
