Maybe with that ? http://www.amazon.com/Playstation-M...41911&sr=8-4&keywords=ps3+memory+card+adapter
system is hacked and dongles can be copied, both ps2 memory cards and system246/256 dongles are the same hardware, what differs are the decryption keys. I myself got mame dumps to make me dongles 3 years ago, so those mame dumps are good.
From what I understand the 2X6 dongle uses a custom nand flash chip and encryption. I have not know anyone to get a proper dump from one that actually works. Plus even if a dump could be made, as there is no emulator that would run it yet you would need to make your own dongle to even test the dump.
http://members.iinet.net.au/~lantra9jp1/gurudumps/ The Guru's ROM Dump News says they have dumped a lot of 2x6 keychips. In their options, the 2x6 keychip is more like a bootloader. And the from the MAME project we can download some 2x6 games' keychip data. But I'm interested in how to write it back to a keychip.I have few 2x6 keychip and some PS2 MemoryCard. What should I do to write them back?
Well what games do you have you need backed up? There are people who have means of making backups that already have access to 3/4 of the software out there. -edit- I'm not against the preservation of 2x6 software, it's just for some they only want it for making fakes of the more expensive games. So i'm very cautious to help out.
I wouldn't worry about needing to save that game right now. It's pretty common and in due time dumps will happen for that game. Me and another user here have been sitting on a large collection of 2x6 software that if we dumped would cover 75-90% of known games. -edit- Here is our compiled list of known software (All data has been hand verified by us and a few others) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...y=CMz7i8cO&pli=1&hl=en&authkey=CMz7i8cO#gid=1
Which updates? Also I noticed the list is a bit out of date from the google doc (mostly wangan R is not up to date). -edit- Though my interest in System 2x6 has died down over the years. I still wonder why there are so many gaps in the later Namco ID numbers. There are quite a few games missing but I don't know what they are (best guess is Asian localizations that are not known).
