I would like to see more 2D plaformers, Like Mario, Sonic, Rayman, Donkey Kong Country, Kirby, Vectorman, Ristar, etc. Using the power of the current consoles, they should be able to make some of the best looking 2D games ever, but they don't because 2D games would only appeal to a small crowd.
The gameboy advance still produces amazing 2d games and if you are a fan of 2d,you should definetly pick one up.The sequel to Guardian heroes is out on the gba soon and surely that is reason enough to pick one up. I agree that Sunshine was not a patch on Mazza 64 but it is still the best platformr of this generation.I'm hugely looking forward to replaying the new Mario 64x4 on the DS. I too would love to see more 2d games, but they just do not sell well enough in the massmarket anymore for companies to make them, apart from on gba. It's a pity that with the upcoming PSP,we may see the end of 2d games altogether.
indeed , and thats a shame. :smt011 :smt009 but some ds games seems to be in 2d. nintendo get more and more points, imo. yeah , i'm wondering where miyato was when they develloped mario sunshine :smt017 mario sunshine is good but compared to others mario.... its nothing . where's that magical touch? (exlanes in mario....:smt011) :smt017
I got a GBA and I like it and all, but i would like to see more 2D games on home consoles. I picked up Metal Slug 3 for the XBOX today, and I have to say that I love it. I also plan on getting the Mega Man Collection for the GC, if only more companies were like SNK and Capcom.
