Well it seems that Microsoft on the last day as released some comparisons of their system specs to that of the PS3. That information is located here. Keep in mind that this is Microsoft doing the talking, so it really can't be trusted. However, I think hardware nuts has well have been comparing and contrasting the specs, so like that, it's fun to see regardless. Just take it with a grain of salt. Here's the summary: Seems like Microsoft sent it IGN's way as well.
I don't believe either of them, and personally don't care. If the 360 library is anything like the Xbox library, and the PS3 library is anything like the PS2 library, my money will clearly go to Sony.
As long as they both have lots of good exclusive games from big name devs, they'll be just fine. Sony better have some quality hardware which doesn't break this time though, as I think that trademark of theirs is what will hurt them most at launch (At least I know I wont buy a first gen ps3 because of it).
I will likely buy 'em all too, but WTF man... I mean I only bought 5 Xbox games... and probably only 5 more that I'd consider buying. There's not any others that I would even download.
Well like I said in another thread, the 360 will probably have more Japanse dev support, at least initially especially with the number of JRPGs coming out for it. Whether that holds out in the long run is questionable. Then again the Xbox seemed like it was for those PC Gamers that were sick of the endless upgrade cycle just to play a game decently, with the current known release line up of 360/PC titles that seems to hold true.
Link doesn't work anymore, but props to both MS and Sony for their 1337 architectures this time, I'd say ;-) I'd love to try some CELL asm
Was waiting for someone to comment on it. Thanks! I was thinking of doing a series of check-boxes. -lick ass -coke -hooker etc. etc. but the million dollar catch-phrase is so subtle and sweet.
i have a ps2... i am starting to hate nintendo... this e3 was horrible... all crap... i hope nintendo dies for good, they are so stupid.
Aparently alot of people are saying the 360 is more then capable to keep up with the ps3. Its not just microsoft saying this.
I'm going to wait until the final specs are out. I don't really trust what Sony are saying at all right now as there's still about a year until it's released, and they were full of shit before the PS2 came out. Also, these claims of power aren't really going to matter until developers find out what it's like to program for the new consoles. As we all know, the PS2 was a pain in the hole to program compared to the others - same went for the Saturn...
I call this post from microsoft pure BS. First, they talk about how powerfull their new system, the xbox (at the time) is so much powerfull than it's competitior, and that because of this, this last one is the best out of the three, you don't need to spend your cash for our competitior, we have the best hardware guys! Now they show their new creation the xbox 360, and they tell how badly it will wipe any competition, mostly because of it's terrible power. A couple of days later, they see for the first time their oponent, who will be release about 6 months after their console, a bit in the situation of their oponent, like if the xbox 360 was the ps2 (as for the power) and the ps3 the xbox, they get scared, because everything they've said to their consumers so far is now versus them. So in a wind of crazyness, they declare something that tottaly opose what they were trying to pass, like in a brainwash, to the mass: Graphic and power isn't important, they said. And finnaly, about 2 or 3 days after this, they compare the ps3 hardware versus their machine, and they try to boost it, to make it look even more powerfull than it's competitor, and at the same time telling everyone software and service is more important. I sense alot of fear, and fear lead to the dark side of the force. ...sorry, i couldn't resist, just watched Ep.III cahaz
I'll wait till both systems are released and we have real games to play. Being the most powerful doesn't mean anything.
