Ahhh another 3dfx lover! All I have are retail boards, if you'd like a v2 retail I've got one. Aside from that good luck on your search!

BUMPITY BUMP BUMP :) Let me know if you guys have any cool 3dfx/Quantum3D stuff. :)

Since I started this thread I have got quite a few cards... including a 128MB Voodoo5 6000 Rev.A 3700 Prototype! (4x VSA-100 beast running 4way SLI on a single board) That means I can run 8x AA in Glide games.. (inserts drool)

Whoa that 128MB Voodoo 5 6000 is awesome! Just out of curiosity was it hard to track down, and if you are willing mind saying how much it cost?

I've had a couple Voodoo cards and I still have a Voodoo 5 5500 in one of my computers.

Hey there, it was very hard to track down. It took a lot of joining forums and asking around. Luckily I found a collector in Spain who has like 5 of them. He let is go for the low low price of $2,564.39! :) (1900 EUR at the time)

Glad to hear you are still rocking Voodoo.. they are still simply amazing.

    I've got a 12MB Voodoo2 somewhere if you're interested...
(the most expensive one at the time! How gutted was I when the Voodoo3 came out...)

I'm sorry I don't have anything to offer you, but this post and picture are amazing. I'm missing my Voodoo 2 right now. :(

Mind if I ask what the best 3dfx card would be, minus the 2500$ prototype? lol. Even if it is their equivalent of SLI, I feel like building an old PC soon.

I would recommend either Voodoo2 SLI (2x12MB cards), or a Voodoo5 5500. (64MB single card SLI onboard) Both are pretty cheap usually and pack a powerful punch, it would then determine what games you would be playing on the rig.

I've got 2 old 3DFX add-in cards, strangely they both have the same layout and chips but are by different companies (apparently) and use different chip markings/PCB colour, I'll take a pic if I remember

Why is that strange? Those companies just licenced the design and didn't feel the need to change anything from the reference board.

One is a diamond monster 3D and the other is a vertex?
Kinda cheap-skatiness to not change the design though really.

You've got to remember that this is before the days where graphics accelerators were mass-market, and there was no case modding scene.
